Princess Charlotte’s ‘favourite joke’ shared by Prince William sparks groans from pupils

Prince William opened up on how he makes his daughter Princess Charlotte laugh during a visit to the Midlands.

Prince William has shared his best dad joke as he told a group of school students the joke that makes Princess Charlotte laugh the most at home.

The future King was visiting Rowley Regis in the Midlands to discuss mental health initiatives with students at St Michael’s Church of England High School, where he learnt about their award-winning efforts to improve mental health support for young people.

William told the assembled group: “I am with the gang here talking about male mental health and I’ve been asked to produce a dad joke.

“I’m trying to channel Jack Whitehall, because most of his jokes are pretty dad-like. What I’ll do is I’m going to say a joke that’s Charlotte’s favourite joke at the moment, she keeps telling me, I’ll do that instead.

“You’re going to have to interact with me, it’s not a joke I can tell straight away.”

Proceeding to tell his joke, the Prince of Wales said: “Knock knock”, to which the boys he was addressing replied: “Who’s there?”

William then said: “Interrupting cow”, but before the children could finish saying “Interrupting cow who?” the Prince shot back: “Moo!”

The cringeworthy joke roused a suitable groan from the audience, with William understandingly responding: “Yep, that’s what I get a lot at home at the moment.

“That’s the greatest one I can think of, it’s clean and broadcastable.”
