The Prince and Princess of Wales have issued a public statement about an incident that has made them ‘incredibly sad.’ Prince William and Kate Middleton took to Twitter and shared their thoughts from their official account.

Moreover, the couple’s statement was released following a Spitfire crash near an RAF base. This accident has left the aircraft pilot dead and this caught the attention of Prince William and family.

As per reports, the aircraft crashed in a field during a Battle of Britain event on Saturday in Lincolnshire. In addition, this plane is from World War II, and officials have stated that a full investigation will be conducted.

The reason for the crash has not been revealed yet. Prince William and Kate Middleton have paid tribute to the deceased pilot, whose name is yet to be made public.

W & C.” Futhermore, while speaking to the Ministry of Defence, they said they are confirming the death of an RAF pilot in a tragic accident with great sadness.
