Although he has spent most of his life “wrapped up in the royal bubble”, Prince Harry is expected to “drop barriers” in his upcoming Netflix series and show a different side to him, claims a PR expert.

The Duke of Sussex is currently producing a new show centred on his experience as a polo player and will shed light on a sport normally associated with wealth and privilege.

The show will be made by the couple’s Archewell Productions company and will give “unprecedented access to the world of professional polo”, the streaming giant has said.

PR Expert, Carla Speight, believes the intrigue about his life is high. She explained: “No one really knows a lot about who he is, there has always been a lot of assumption and speculation, this show gives him the chance to let the Netflix audiences in to see him behind the scenes.”

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, she said: “Harry has the opportunity to showcase his fun, sporting and outgoing personality” and added if conducted in the right way, he “could capture the hearts of the world, in ways like his mother did”.

Speaking of Prince Harry’s mother, the late Princess Diana, the PR expert shared her views on the similarities between mother and son. Ms Speight said: “She broke traditions, she showcased her personality, her passion and her charm, which Harry seems to have too.”

The Netflix venture will be a chance for the youngest son of King Charles to “reconnect with the public” and deconstruct the “mystery” around Harry and Meghan’s private lives.

Ms Speight further added: “These separate shows give them a huge opportunity to change public opinion too. If the shows are formatted properly, they are opening themselves up to the public. It’s a bold and brave move but an incredibly clever one.”

Prince Harry’s best friend, Nacho Figueras, who is also set to feature in the Netflix series, has shared how much playing polo means to Prince Harry: “We’ve been working on this for a long time. It was always Harry’s dream and passion to share with the world, what it takes to be a really competitive polo player and show polo at the highest level.”

He added: “I cannot think of many people that can be better than him to be the kickoff of this storytelling.”

Harry, 39, and Meghan, 42, were event seen walking hand-in-hand and even sharing a passionate kiss as they attended the fundraising match much to the delight of spectators.

Prince Harry co-founded the charity Sentebale with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in 2006 to help children and young people affected by poverty inequality and HIV and AIDS in Lesotho and Botswana. Aside from pursuing his passion, the polo events have raised more than £11.4 million for the charity.

Nacho has also been a longtime ambassador for the charity and previously said of Harry to PEOPLE magazine in 2022: “From day one, I saw how committed he was to his charity. Fast forward 15 years, I’ve been to Lesotho with him a few times, and I’ve seen what great work the charity does and how important it is for a lot of kids, how committed he is, how much he really cares about it.”
