George bears striking resemblance to one of Diana’s relatives, fans say

Royal Family fans have said Prince George looks like a lesser-known relative of Princess Diana in pictures from the FA Cup final.

Royal watchers are abuzz with claims that Prince George bears a striking resemblance to a relative of Princess Diana.

Snaps of the young royal alongside his dad, Prince William, at the FA Cup final clash between Manchester United and Manchester City have sparked a frenzy on Reddit, with users debating which family member George most resembles.

The buzz started with a post on the r/RoyalsGossip forum, where fans suggested George is the spitting image of Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp – Diana’s nephew.

The caption that set tongues wagging read: “George looks like Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp in some pictures.”

But the comparisons didn’t stop there. One eagle-eyed fan noted: “George looks like a mixture of Louis Spencer and George V.”

Another added: “He looks so much like his great uncle and grandmother. This picture’s making me feel nostalgic, as in I cannot believe I would ever refer to Princess Diana as a grandmother. So very bittersweet.”

The thread also saw parallels drawn between George and Charles Spencer, Diana’s younger brother, as well as King George VI, Queen Elizabeth II’s father. A user exclaimed: “I think he looks like his great great grandfather, Elizabeth’s father, King George VI, exactly the same eyes!” Meanwhile, another observed: “I think he and charlottes favor their grandmother the queen quite a bit in the eyes. [sic]”

One individual declared George to be “all Spencer”, crediting his father’s lineage for his looks. The comment read: “George is all Spencer. He looks more similar to his great uncle than he does to either of his parents.”

In response, another person queried: “Do you mean Louis Spencer? He is first cousins with Prince William, so he would technically be Prince George’s first cousin once removed.”
